Totem roll-call 🦁🐘🐒 What's your mutupo or isibongo?

Let's do something our grandparents would be proud of: a totem roll-call. 💛 For anyone newer to this: your mutupo (Shona) or isibongo (Ndebele clan name) links you to your family line. Ask a Zimbo their totem and you often get a whole family history in reply. Mine is Musaigwa, and the praise name my family uses is Dziva, Mabikire. Not sure of yours? That's completely fine. Lots of us grew up abroad or just never asked. Tell us your family's home area and maybe someone can help, or use it as an excuse to phone Gogo (Grandma) this weekend 😄 And if your family is Tonga, Kalanga, Venda, Shangaan, Nambya, Sotho, mixed, or anything else, tell us how your family keeps its name and roots alive.
